Andy Hylton (West Ham United fan) says...

Why is there this continued trend of buying average. No-one else in the premier league is interested in Mido, Ilan or McCarthy so why are we. I give Zola credit for going after the likes of Ruud and Gudjohnsson but if we keep buying average and over 30 how are we going to get any better???

Luke Stanton timmins (Manchester United fan) says...

I agree that David James is our best international goalkeeper but i dont think we should play himevery match because we could win the world cup because we wont win the world cup. We showed a brilliant example of the game in the qualifiers that was against teams like slovenia no affence to them. Apart from Rooney i dont think we have a great defender including defoe or bent because rooney is our only striker that shows his potential as wellas possible in international games. My prediction is that Germany or Spain.

Dale Osborne (Coventry City fan) says...

Newcastle ,i hope you get more out of Leon Best than we did he needs ten cans of redbull before the game to wake him up,but there is potential he,s young and i suppose did not want to play for us anymore ,,all the best with him.

Robert King (West Ham United fan) says...

It doesn't matter who Zola buys. As long as he plays a lone striker (especially at home) and five across the midfield we will play with a negative attitude towards winning. It's not the West ham way. Zola has to change, not the club.

Mick Haynes (West Ham United fan) says...

I agree with merse on Mido, But ......He`s out to prove a point. He`s hungry and i think will be a great signing for the hammers and help keep us in the prem..... Look at Robbie Keane.... Top-Top striker with so many clubs to his name and "maybe" on the move again. I`d have loved to have seen him running out in claret and blue.

Cona Newcombe (Liverpool fan) says...

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool buy a striker that they've been needing for a while.. or maybe sort out the defence, that we need, if anyone who can turn Liverpool around its Rafa Benitez! .... In Rafa We Trust!

Adam Roberts (Manchester City fan) says...

He's surely not going to play ahead of the likes of Bellamy and Petrov - and he'll be under severe pressure if he gets their places. He might just be another body at City and could go four years without kicking a ball. I'd be surprised if that went through. Bellamy won't play every game, He and Mark Hughes before him said that he couldn't play 2/3 games in a week due to his knees. Petrov doesn't offer enough tracking back and lately Mancini has been playing him on the right. So Johnson will get games especially with Robinho leaving who played on the left when picked. When I read your comments Paul in regards to City they always seem negative. To my mind it shows Man City investing in a good English player who will be eased into the first team surrounded by experienced players for him to learn from

Dominic Allen (Tottenham Hotspur fan) says...

I understand Harry Redknapp's thinking around Robbie Keane's proposed loan to Celtic. But NOW is the time for Roman Pavluychenko to earn his Spurs. Sorry for the pun. He's a top class striker. Playing for a top class manager. He needs a run of games. Either starting or coming off the bench to seal wins instead of draws.

Apparently Robbie Keane on his way to Glasgow to sign loan deal with Celtic...their transfer window runs till midnight!

James Farnworth (Preston North End fan) says...

Jonathan Besford can i say that the championship is much better then the prem because you never know who is going up or down as like the prem when you now one of the big for will like Man.U, Chelsea, Arsnal and Liverpool. Anyteam in the champion ship could beat the like of celtic and rangers.
