Owen Rowe says...

Surely the signing of the summer is Carlo Ancelotti. Top of the table. Looks like he has finally put the boot into Chelsea.

This is the stuff they make movies about...Picture it...Our once great hero has fallen out of favour. Lost in the wilderness, we have shifted our attention to the new kids on the block. But wait, a wily old fox saves him from the desolation and gives him a last chance at greatness. And there we have it...classic hero to zero and back again. Insert your own actors, but you cant lose with Owen and Fergie in the starring roles

Rafa`s Liverpool shall surerly brake our hearts come end of season.Lucas is doing us no good as the defensive linkman. There are times where he shows his imaturity in that position and we become a free shop where anyone can walk in and grab whatever they want and walk out.If we are not lucky to finnish in top ten relegation is not far for us.

Simon Gough (Everton fan) says...

I think Owen on a free is a great piece of business in terms of values for money (wages). Apart from that the English Clubs have been left wanting, even the mighty Man City with the never ending bank account haven't set my imagination going. They have all bought predictable, solid players but all the world class is sat in Spain - Messi, Henry, Ronaldo, Kaka, Iniesta, Xavi, Aguero, Benzema the list is endless. As a result I predict a Chelsea season with Arsenal starting to live up to their great potential of the last 3 years. As for Europe, our hope this year is that the continentals are running scared like they did in the eighties when the only way to stop English domination was to ban us! The last 2 years we have set a marker, but our top sides are now weaker on paper and they are stronger. It will come down to belief - Barcelona have it, but the dream team is Real. I would love to see that team gel and set the world alight. They now have players that could write their name in history as one of the greatest sides ever!

David Holmes says...

Im not bitter, however i just don't believe Delph is everything he's being made out to be. As a Leeds fan who has seen him at many a game I'm not so sure about his so called potential. I think it's a huge risk on for a player who I believe to be mediocre. Don't believe the hype, although I wish him all the best, actually maybe I am bitter. Heitinga looks a class act for Everton and i think another bit of magic from Moyes in the window.

Nadi Kooper (Manchester United fan) says...

United have signed a wonderkids named shakti kapoor. One of the best potentialaround and ferguson even compared him to ronaldo. Just at 19, Kapoor is going to be a hit this season and could even get a call up to the england squad.

Mikey Williams (Arsenal fan) says...

I think that vermaleen has been a hit and will contiue you to shine while gallas will shine along side him. i also think that adebayor will enjoy a good start but will get the hump as Esoon as he go throught a dry and is dropped for a couple of games, hes dun it twice before and will not change...Glad hes gone ....so enjoy it while hes happy man city fans BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD!

Andrew Lampard (Arsenal fan) says...

Whilst he has only played a handful of times so far, I must admit I have been impressed by Vermaelen. The lad loves a tackle and really does bring some much needed steel to a brittle Gunners side. He is also naturally left footed which compliments Gallas well and has the man rejuvenated. Having said that, it wasn't the most exciting transfer of a window that lacked excitement altogether. Transfer deadline day was a damp squib compared the clamour of summer 08 and winter 09. Lets hope it's more exciting in January!

Haider Farouq (Manchester United fan) says...

I think personally Michael Owen will be a big hit at Manchester United, Sir Alex knows what he's doing and hopefully he'll earn a England call up.

Shane White says...

Vermaelen is by far the best signing in this lot, with Bikey not far behind. The rest are all just money grabbers and just think about picking up the wage packet at the end of the week knowing that however they play they will still be payed the same amount the last time they played. Definatley Vermaelen and Bikey are the best signings in this top 10.

How Gareth Barry is not at the top of this list is ludicrous... Mugs!

Chris Milburn (Liverpool fan) says...

I don't agree that Crouch is one of the signings of the season as he has been signed as a back up to Defoe and Keane. They have spent a lot of money on a player worse than Darren Bent who i have always rated as a great player and now he has a chance of first team football should be a contender fior the England World Cup Squad in 2010. Delph was an expensive signing but he is one for the future! Although Hunt has scored twice for Hull i feel that he has been poor for Hull, just a case of being in the right place at the right time! I also think Heitinga will be a great signing! From what i have seen of him in the BBVA he is better than lescott so a good bit of business for Everton. Finnaly from a Liverpool perspective i am happy with the signing of Glen Johnson he gives us something extra in attack! Aquilani still unproven, i would of preffered to of signed Sneijider from Madrid instead of him !!!!
