Ben Collins talks to Stockport's longest-serving player Paul Turnbull as part of our League Two spotlight.Back to story
stockport are a team that will forever on continue falling and rising in between the lower leagues, they wont ever have a steady cash flow due to the lack of support off fans, stockport used to always have a full house back in the 90's the days of kevin francis, lee todd, mike flynn. the days county could produce some incredible football, since then we have never really had a team like that apart from 2008 season when we were promoted to league one, that was a great season including a wembly derby and a win against rochdale. now back in league two and struggling poorly the fans just wont have an intrest within the club and its poor progress in the football league, i am a full on loving fan of stockport and always true to them, just wish i could pull a few fans together to get some ideas of how to gain more fans to re attend edgeley park. if only more fans had the same kind of mind as me, county would be doing far more better than they are now. fans acuse the team and manager for the lack of results/progress the club is making, but they are just as much to blame, i am not on about the fans that attend to watch stockport play, i am talking about the ones who gave up on us. thanks for taking the time to read this.
