"Gazza used to pinch our clothes" - ex-Everton man Alan Stubbs looks back on his playing days.
Manchester United have sewn up the title and Wigan, Reading and QPR have been consigned to relegation. But the final of the day of the Premier League season will be a fascinating afternoon of football, as North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal vie for the final Champions League spot.Back to story
I'm torn between seeing a potential Arsenal-Chelsea playoff and Spurs landing Champions League football. Its just a pity that so much of the table has been decided already going into the final day... But considering what happened last year, that's not necessarily a bad thing!

Sorry Mo Oseni, you don't know what you're talking about. We've actually been in 3 finals in the last 8 yrs and lost all 3. Top 4 is success these days. the football landscape has changed since we won the league last with the big money now involved. Anyone ( Arsenal fan or not) who thinks Arsene Wenger should be sacked is deluded. He is by far the best manager working here now that Fergie is Gone. As a season ticket holder at the Grove and Arsenal fan of over 40 years I am grateful for all he's done guiding us through the stadium move and continuing to stay in the 4 of the best league in the world and establishing us among europe's elite for the last 16 years.

If Tottenham loses out on the top 4 they have only themselves to blame. Getting 1 point out the three games with Everton, Fulham and Wigan is very poor. They win those 3 games and get the 8 pts they are in second all alone.

Fair points Jamie. However I feel your a little harsh on Moussa Dembele, his scoring potential has been stifled by the position and role he has been playing. If you play him further up where he can play the 6 yard channel pass from outside the box or shoot he will score more goals. It has seemed to me that since Sandro has been injured AVB has groomed Moussa to be that supporting midfielder charged with maintaining possession and recovering rather than creatively trying to win the game, going forward and scoring goals. AVB puts lots of emphasis on Bale, Lenon and Dempsey/ Sigurdsson to go out and create for Ade/ JD whilst the 2 central midfielders are for stability and shape.

Don't forget Jamie........... we will want to perform well in front of Arsenal -- we owe them for the 8-2 bashing we got at the Emirates earlier this season !!!

I think I might watch the game at St James because there's no point getting excited about our game unless Newcastle do the other lot. Was disappointed Wigans legs went, but arsenal have been scraping results for weeks so we might have some luck on Sunday.

An honest collumn but I dont agree that our team is far superior man for man. Tottenham don't exactly have man star players the same as we dont. Poldi, Santi, Walcott, Wilshere and Giroud have all played well this year with Arteta being able to cope just. Where as its only really Bale, Lloris and Dawson who have been stand out for Tottenham. Sunderland will be just as dangerous as Newcastle though as they are also relaxed and Paole will want them to put in a huge performance before the end of the season, some players will be playing for their sunderland career. I still think we will win it, although the last 2/3 times we haven't fared so well up in geordie lane but I see us winning 3-1. Chelsea hopefully to draw 1-1 against a brilliant but ever so slowly deflating everton side.

It is going to be a massive game, but for sure arsenal will win the last game. And spurs will draw 1-1 with I'd canio's team. I think Chelsea will also draw with Everton, and may be they might be a clash for the third spot.

I can understand Chelsea but Spurs in no way shape or form have a better squad than Arsenal.

Not being funny but that bit about Dembele is a load of rubbish. You can see pretty much every game he's played, apart from a few, he's been rock solid. AVB obviously uses Dembele in a deeper role especially whilst Sandro has been unavailable. Parker roams forward to much for my liking and misses far too many opportunities with misfired attempts on goal. If Dembele did what Parker did most games Tottenham would be lower in the league than we are at the moment. Just because Mousa has only scored a couple of goals this season doesn't mean he is the next player in the firing line for not scoring. What about Lennon, Siggurdson, Holtby and of course Adebayor

Astonished you consider Spurs' squad to be far superior to Arsenal's. When you compare the likes of Walcott, Arteta, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Giroud, and Podolski to Lennon, Dempsey, Parker, Dembele, Bale (the obvious exception) and Sigurdsson, you can hardly argue for the inferiority of Arsenal's squad. Of course I have only picked out a few midfield players and strikers and not compared every member of each team's squad, but the same is true of the players I haven't mentioned.

Not sure about your opinion at the end there. Spurs were no means top 4 definites at the start of the season; having lost Modric (our best player in 20 years), VdV, King, and Kaboul to injury for the season. AvB has done great no matter the result on Sunday - but obviously we'd hope to finish in the top 4 given the context of the season and how well he's done in galvanising the team and using the squad. I think Dembele has been deputising in deep positions due to the loss of Sandro for a huge chunk of the season. Despite not scoring many, Dembele has been class - just not as class as Modric!

You have to be joking Jamie, I'm sick of hearing top 4 is success. Chelsea have got to 16 cup final in 16 years they finished 6th last season, no1 cares if you win somethings. Wigan got relegated but there fans arent that bothered, they won something!! We have got to 1 cup final in the last 8years even then we couldn't finish the job. Wenger has had the time and money to have built a squad to challenge for silverware. Maybe not this year but the 3 years after we lost the likes of pires and viera we should have bought PROPER replacements. If we don't get top 4 he should be sacked. If he doesn't win anything next season, he should be sacked. Hes on very thin ice and I think he knows it.
