Jose Mourinho war with media is deliberate strategy, says Guillem Balague

Jose Mourinho will make everybody in England believe that he is hated in Spain. It is, though, a consequence of his strategy.

Hi Guillem. What does the future hold for Roberto Soldado? I was looking at his record - 137 games for Valencia (113 starts) 77 goals - and was quite amazed that he isn't linked with many clubs. As an Arsenal fan, I feel he'd be perfect for us next season. His buy-out clause I've read is £29m, but realistically, how much would he cost? Thanks.

Is Mourinho maybe tired of dealing with the media or actions of the players? I'm just saying he has help Madrid get some decent silverware and defeating barca several times...also is Manchester United planning on buying a perfect defensive midfielder?..because they just buy strikers

Hi gulliem I been watching n enjoying ravista since 2005 and you guys are doing a great job giving insight on spanish football I have asked a question before so if you could answer I would be greatfull... As a life long barca fan only question I have is barca rumours keep coming up saying we buying neymar n hummels n etc but how much true is in those rumours and do barca have enough money to actually buy them I know they won't be cheap! Also so happy to see mourinho go I don't respect a man who has his head up his backside and can't recognise the acheivments of great del basque also don't you think he diverted all the attention from madrids elimination away n drawn the whole world to himself. And how can people call our season a faliure we won the title(important 1) and we defied cancer not one but twice! Gracias senior visca el barca

besides this fiasco. the media is hyped on changes. probably because that is what everyone is demanding after the anger of big semi final losses. i think it would be over reacting especially at barca, who have such an entrenched ideology pervading their dressing room that any new signing will make it worse before they make it better. look at all the new signings and how they have impacted the style, efficiency and the overall mood of the team. alot of the younger players that have come in seem to like a joke and play up for the cameras, including pique and fabregas, so i think they have alot more to work on internally before they go buying and selling. plus working on players that have been there for 2-3 years already will surely be better than starting at 0 with 3-4 new players coming into to replace them. madrid are getting a new manager and system so they can do what they want. buy buy buy. your thoughts?

HI Guillem, I was just wondering whether you think gareth bale will have a future with Madrid? He seems like the type of player Madrid seem to buy.

Dear Guillem, Love your column, you make many valid points in specific in regards to Mourinho. I think not having the media around creates a better teaching atmosphere and unites the team into one opinion and work ethic. The media so frequently distorts commentaries made by players, that any misquote could turn into controversy. DO you positively believe his time in Madrid is done?

Hello, there have been a lot of talk about the money Arsene Wenger will have in the summer to buy new players. Since spanish players have been a sucess at Arsenal, If he really have that kind of money, what spanish players do you think he should buy?

Barca coach, has a very big task to work on in is team. Otherwise its performance wil continue going down, the defence of the team is just to pathetic, hence they is need to buy players like david luis of chelsea and sagna of arsenal, buy gareth bale on any other striker or attacking mid fielders because they fail to perform well due to players like javi and inesta those guys who are stuck to only one system of playing,a good exaple is fabregas, alexis and danny elvis.

I wouldn't like to see Mourinho back at Chelsea. I can see why the fans would love him back as he revolutionised them into a European force and is a very successful and charismatic manager but, honestly, I think he's worth more than a 'comforting' step back. PSG would be a great move to redeem himself and manage a better calibre of team and a more unified club in general - Why would anyone choose to work for someone like Abramovich? He's the reason (to my understanding) why Jose left in the first place and now he wants to 'use' Jose again. Chelsea are not a respectable club and while the fans keep singing "Champions of Europe", bragging about a cup they didn't deserve to win, they'll continue to be an embarrassment to good football and a great demonstration of a cut-throat business. Even as a Liverpool fan I'd go to PSG and wait for Alex Ferguson's call to take over a real stable, quality football club.

Hello Guillem. Is it true that Barcelona are willing to sell Cesc Fabregas, to fund their transfer targets? If they are what clubs are looking at him? He was great at Arsenal but I doubt they could buy him back with their strict transfer policy. Although he is loyal to Arsenal money talks! So could you see a move for him to United?
