I'm very happy to see Andy's contribution highlighted, I always thought he did not get enough recognition. His help in getting City out of their worst league predicament in recent times shouldn't be underestimated, and the club would not be where they are now today, if it weren't for a few players like him.

Its glad to see that Andy overcame his alcohol attiction and im sure he did it with the same effort and determination that he used everytime he pulled on a city shirt . He was a leader but lets not forget what a good footballer he was too ! Thanks for the memories Andy and good luck with the rest of your life !!!!

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. The most important player City ever signed. Would have loved to see Andy's dealings with a ceratin Mr Tevez if he was still at the club. Absolute legend Andy.

Andy was and is a hero to fans of Manchester City. Alongside the likes of Dickov, Goater, Rosler etc who always gave their all once they pulled on the sky blue shirt. They will always be welcome and they will always be talked about fondly.

I loved him at City, gave his all in every game and thanks to his efforts we are now where we are today. I was so glad to see him at Eastlands last season when he got a huge ovation from the crowd.

Brilliant signing by Joe Royle, a proper centre half with a no nonsense approach and 100 % effort every time he stepped over the line. Thanks Andy for your brief but outstanding contribution to my club.
