David Kilroy (Manchester City fan) says...
I didn't buy this clever campaign to lessen the expectations of the England team, nor do I buy the subsequent "Pride", "Courage" and "England Overachieved" tags. Can anybody honestly say that they wouldn't at least expect England to qualify from the group stage of an international tournament, which they did. Going on then to be totally outclassed by an average Italian side, hanging on for dear life and by good luck and losing on penalties, again. No over achievement, no under achievement. Just the minimum you would expect.
