Nick Blackwell has nothing against Chris Eubank Jr and wants a private conversation to bury any ill feeling.
Blackwell was forced to retire after spending a week in an induced coma in the aftermath of losing his British middleweight title to Eubank Jr earlier this year.
Relationships have been fraught ever since and, although Blackwell believes Eubank Sr has complicated the issue, he has opened the door to reconciliation.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "A lot of things get said. I have nothing against Eubank Jr, he's a great fighter.
"It's just the stuff his old man said and did, after the fight.
"[Eubank Jr] said that he wanted to sit down and talk to me. I would sit down and talk to him, without any media.
"I would sit down and chat to both of them man-to-man. No cameras around. I'm happy to do that."
Blackwell, who revealed he is training twice daily despite calling time on his career, also scoffed at Eubank Jr's offer to hand him the British title belt as a show of sportsmanship.
Eubank Jr makes the first defence against Tom Doran on Anthony Joshua's Sky Sports Box Office undercard on June 25, and rules stipulate he must complete three defences before he is considered the belt's owner.
Blackwell said: "He probably will give me his belt - but he can't actually give me his belt at the moment because he needs to defend it three times.
"Once he's defended it three times, won it outright, and he gave it to me then fair play to him. But I wouldn't actually take the belt because I would want to win the belt myself.
"Junior's not actually a bad lad. I just personally think his old man doesn't help him."
