Lee Selby is hoping to become IBF featherweight champion when he faces Evgeny Gradovich on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Background
Lee Selby can join the likes of Joe Calzaghe as a Welsh world champion but he must first get past the relentless work rate of current IBF title holder Evgeny Gradovich.
Selby, 28, is favourite to take the Russian's belt and his undefeated record when the pair meet but Gradovich has overwhelmed many of his opponents to date.
Most recently, Gradovich held on to the belt via a draw with Jayson Velez back in November while Selby showed a ruthless streak previously lacking when he dispatched Joel Brunker in October.
Tempers frayed slightly at the weigh-in as Selby's trainer Chris Sanigar became embroiled in a shoving match with Gradovich's trainer - adding spice to an intriguing clash of styles.
What the fighters say
Lee Selby: "When I become champion, I can really appreciate it because I've done it the hard way."
What the experts say
Glenn McCrory's prediction: Selby on points
"Gradovich is a good fighter. All of the opponents this Saturday night are very good, but British boxing is on such a high, there's not that fear any more."
Johnny Nelson's prediction: Selby on points
"Some people class it as boring, but it's effective and he gets the job done. Mayweather does exactly the same thing and he's seen as a God, so why is it different when Selby's doing it?"
Jamie Moore's prediction: Selby on points
"Selby has a really awkward style and if he goes away from using his best attributes at this stage - especially boxing for a world title - then he'd be silly."
