Charles Martin has 'never heard' of Anthony Joshua's rapper friend 'Stormzy' but the IBF champion has hinted at a dramatic entrance of his own at The O2.
'Stormzy' announced the arrival of Joshua for his last fight and changed the lyrics of hit 'Shut Up' to include the name of opponent Dillian Whyte.
The American challenger is unaware of the London grime artist, but is friendly with the American rap star '50 Cent', and suggested his walk-on will 'get me hyped' for Saturday's world title clash, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
"Stormzy? No, I've never heard of Stormzy," Martin told Sky Sports, when asked about Joshua's previous choice of walk-on music.
"I would say 50 Cent though. Shout out to 50 Cent. He said he was going to be at my world title fight and he didn't show up. I know him - we know 50, but I guess he was busy so couldn't make it.
Describing his choice of entrance music, Martin added: "Something violent, something to get me hyped."
'Stormzy' has recorded a special track for Joshua's world title clash, hailing the 2012 Olympic gold medallist as a 'legend on the rise.'
The lyrics read: "When I see Anthony Joshua, I see a legend on the rise, and April 9th will be a legendary night. Your country's got your back, we're repping you for life, and know all that added pressure is a blessing in disguise."
Charles Martin vs Anthony Joshua is live on Sky Sports Box Office on April 9. Order the event online now.
