Former captain could travel to join squad on Wednesday
Pakistan are confident that returning batsman Mohammad Yousuf will be able to travel to the UK in time for the start of the second Test with England on Friday.
The former captain has been recalled after Pakistan's poor showing with the bat in the first Test at Trent Bridge, where they scored a total of 262 runs in their two innings.
But Yousuf was unable to link up with the squad straight away as he did not have the correct visa.
Team manager Yawar Saeed says the 35-year-old is likely to gain clearance to travel on Tuesday and will be flying out a day later to prepare for the Test at Edgbaston

"The application was given yesterday, and today they are to give their reply. So we're just waiting for their reply today sometime," Saeed said.
"He has a visa, it just that it needs to be converted into a sport visa, rather than a visitor visa. It's just a technicality."
He added: "I am very optimistic. I'm being told it should be done today. If it is, he should be on his way tomorrow."
Yousuf has been embroiled in controversy this year, being handed an indefinite ban by his country following the winter tour to Australia before subsequently having the suspension lifted.
He had elected to retire from international cricket in the wake of the punishment but said in July that he was "ready and available to serve my country".
