Can Raymond van Barneveld win the title?

Van Gerwen was the favourite with Sky Bet to win the top prize at Alexandra Palace for a second time but he left the tournament after Dutch rival Van Barneveld rolled back the years with a sensational 4-3 victory.

Anderson made quick work of Vincent van der Voort earlier in the evening with a 4-0 win and the defending champion has come in from 6/1 to 11/4 in the outright odds.

Van Barneveld's price to lift the trophy has been slashed from 40/1 to 7/1 on the back of his famous success and the Dutchman comes up against Michael Smith, who can be backed at 10/1, in the quarter-finals.

Phil Taylor sits behind Anderson in Sky Bet's outright odds at 100/30 but the former world No 1 has to get past Jelle Klaasen, who is on offer at 28/1 to add the PDC crown to his previous BDO success, in a tricky last-16 clash if he's to keep his dreams of a 15th PDC World Darts Championship title alive.

Adrian Lewis can be supported at 9/2 to come out on top in the final and James Wade is available alongside Van Barneveld at 7/1.

Peter Wright and Dave Chisnall can be backed at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively ahead of their last-16 meeting on Wednesday, while Mark Webster and Alan Norris are both big outsiders at 50/1.
