And 'Hawaii 501' said things are heating up at the top and bottom of the table with Judgement Night in Liverpool just two weeks away, when the bottom two players in the league table will be eliminated, with the remaining eight stars then competing for spots in May's Play-Offs.
"You've got to hand it to Rob Cross after a terrible start where he lost his first two matches, he's now put himself in a position that he wants to be in and that's with five wins on the bounce," Mardle told Sky Sports' host Dave Clark.
"Barney has worked hard, but at the bottom you've got to say Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright, they are looking like the worst two players in the league, and it's a real shame for the pair of them.
"There are just big games wherever you look. Mensur won't want to end up in the elimination spot so his game with Gary Anderson in Belfast next week is big. Simon Whitlock will want to push for a Play-Off spot and push Peter Wright into the mire. There's loads going on.
