A number of matches have fallen foul of the weather, with four Sky Bet EFL games postponed due to frozen pitches.

Crawley's match was the first to fall victim of the weather, with referee Kevin Johnson taking the decision after he inspected the pitch at the Checkatrade Stadium at 9am, with temperatures not expected to rise above two degrees centigrade during the day.

The club had covered the pitch and had brought in specialist hot-air blowers to try and ensure the game could go ahead but in the end their efforts proved in vain.

It was a similar story at The Valley, where a 10am inspection confirmed sub-zero temperatures had left the pitch unplayable.

Southend's game against Bolton then fell, with Leyton Orient v Morecambe also called off.
