Holders Celtic have been drawn against Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals, with Rangers facing Motherwell.

Stephen Robinson's Steelmen were rewarded for their impressive 3-0 Betfred Cup victory over Aberdeen on Thursday night with a Hampden assignment next month against Pedro Caixinha's side.

Celtic and Rangers have faced each other in four semi-finals in the past three seasons but will play on consecutive days at Scotland's national football stadium on October 21 and 22.

The draw was made moments after Motherwell swept the Dons aside at Fir Park in a one-sided affair in the last of the four quarter-finals.
