Torino recorded a fourth straight Serie A draw as they were held 1-1 by mid-table rivals Atalanta at Olimpico di Torino on Saturday night.

The hosts dominated possession in the opening stages, while their opponents created more chances to open the scoring but Jasmin Kurtic's early header was saved and Andrea Petagna glanced wide for the visitors.

Adem Ljajic came close midway through the first half as Torino looked to get on the scoresheet and team-mate Joel Obi was denied just after the half-hour mark.

Their efforts paid off as Lyon loanee Nicolas Nkoulou headed them into the lead on the stroke of half-time, nodding Ljajic's cross home from close range for his first goal for the club.

Atalanta struck back 10 minutes into the second half, though, as Andrea Petagna set up midfielder Josip Ilicic, who picked out the top corner for a share of the spoils.
