Liverpool will go into Tuesday's EFL Cup quarter-final against Leeds without Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.
The Reds are waiting to discover the extent of the ankle injury Coutinho suffered during Saturday's 2-0 win against Sunderland.
The Brazilian had a scan on Monday and is out of Tuesday's tie, and Jurgen Klopp will have neither Lallana nor Sturridge back to soften the blow.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Klopp said: "You know about Philippe. We will know more this afternoon. Adam is close to being back in team training but he won't be ready. Daniel isn't in team training."
Lallana has been out with a groin injury since the international break while a calf injury kept Sturridge out at the weekend.
Roberto Firmino suffered a similar problem late in the Sunderland game but is not yet ruled out of the Leeds game.
Coutinho's injury is the most pressing concern, but Klopp could offer no update as he said: "The best thing would be he is not out but that's not really likely. We have to wait for the final scan. We know what it will probably be."
In the absence of so many attacking options it was left to Divock Origi to make the breakthrough on Saturday after coming off the bench.
The Belgium striker is in contention to start against Leeds, but Klopp offered few clues about his line-up, saying: "It is possible we make a few changes; it is possible we will play nearly the same team."
Origi has not started a game in this season's Premier League, and Klopp said: "There is no alternative to be patient. That you moan everyday? That is how it works.
"It wasn't an easy time for him and the group is very respectful. We don't have the players that show their unhappiness. It is a good group. As long as they train with the right attitude, we will always help."
Saturday's win kept Liverpool a point behind leaders Chelsea and was achieved after Klopp gestured for more noise from the Anfield crowd.
He said: "My opinion is during the 90, 95, 100 minutes we all who are interested in Liverpool FC and want to be successful together need to do a job. I have to do a job and the crowd has to do a job."
