Liverpool have signed a deal with Western Union for the company to be the club's first shirt sleeve sponsor.

The Reds announced on Wednesday that the two parties had secured a "multi-year partnership", with Western Union also becoming an "official principal partner and the official money transfer partner" of the club.

Western Union's logo will appear on Liverpool shirt sleeves and it will be the club's sixth logo to appear on the shirt since the inception of Liverpool in 1892.

It is a deal spanning five years with the logo to be worn on the home and away strips.

Manager Jurgen Klopp said: "Western Union is a global brand and that's great because we need support from all around the world.
