New Liverpool signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has arrived at the club - and received a hug from manager Jurgen Klopp.
The £35m acquisition from Arsenal was given the warmest of welcomes from his new boss as he turned up for his first day of training with his new team.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was joined by the likes of Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum in a light workout following their returns from international duty.
It is expected that Phillippe Coutinho will return to Melwood on Thursday.
Coutinho was the subject of several transfer bids by Barcelona during the summer transfer window but will resume his Liverpool career after returning from international duty with Brazil.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has also been away with his national side, starting both of the World Cup qualifiers for England.
He played 76 minutes of the 4-0 win in Malta before being replaced by Danny Welbeck, and 83 minutes of the 2-1 win over Slovakia, before again making way for his former club-mate Welbeck.
Liverpool take on Manchester City on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Premier League from 11.30am.
