UEFA has charged Arsenal after fireworks were set off during the Europa League match against Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.

Fireworks and smoke bombs were set off during the pre-match player presentations ahead of the Europa League semi-final first leg.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has also been charged with improper conduct and insulting a match official.

Arsene Wenger says Arsenal must approach their second-leg Europa League semi-final tie against Atletico Madrid with a positive attitude.

The cases will be dealt with by the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on May 4.
