Redknapp has high hopes for full-back
Harry Redknapp is hoping Alan Hutton can be the latest player to resurrect his career under his tutelage.
The likes of Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe have all singled out Redknapp's management as the key to their progress.
More recently Gareth Bale has emerged from the reserves to become one of Spurs' most productive players.
Now Redknapp wants Hutton, who joined Spurs from Rangers in 2008, to follow in their footsteps and become a regular in the first team.
Hutton came off the bench against Wolves on Saturday and inspired their comeback as he won the penalty which made it 1-1, before scoring the third in the 3-1 success.
"It's the kind of form he's capable of," Redknapp said.
"I spoke to him during the week and he's a great attacking full-back.
"I said to him he needs to concentrate a little bit more defensively and, if he does that, he's got everything.
"He's a great athlete; when he gets forward, he's got unbelievable pace. He's aggressive, he's quick, it's all there.
"It's up to him to push on now. Let's hope he continues to do that."
Changes
Hutton is likely to be one of a number of changes for Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with rivals Arsenal.
Niko Kranjcar, Wilson Palacios, Roman Pavlyuchenko and recent signing Sandro are all set to start alongside Hutton.
"I'll make a lot of changes," Redknapp said.
"Lads like Kranjcar, they need to play. Palacio: he needs to play. Sandro, the Brazilian boy, needs to play. Pav can play again; Pav needs to play."
