WATCH: Should Sergio Aguero's third goal against Arsenal have stood?

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero fired in a close-range hat-trick against Arsenal with the third of the bunch appearing to strike the Argentine striker's arm.

The Sky Sports pundits could not agree on whether Sergio Aguero's third goal in Manchester City's 3-1 win over Arsenal should have stood after the ball appeared go into the net off his arm.

Aguero slid in to finish off Raheem Sterling's cross and Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno's touch deflected the ball into his body, with some angles suggesting the ball hit the striker's elbow before rolling over the line.

The goal, which came in the 61st minute, ended Arsenal's hopes of getting anything from the game as City strolled through the last half-an-hour without alarm.

But Graeme Souness said he didn't think the goal should have stood.

"It comes off the bottom of his elbow. I don't think it should stand but then he should have had a penalty in the first half," he said. "It's not deliberate, he just wanted to get any part of his body on it."

However, Jamie Carragher disagreed, adding: "I think it would have been harsh to take it away from him. I don't think there was too much handball in there."

And Alex Scott said the Argentina international deserved the decision to go his way because of his performance.
