Dutch outfit in pole position to sign City striker

Skysports.com understands Feyenoord have made an offer to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti on a season-long loan deal. Guidetti is a teenager in demand and the Swede is an option for Premier League new boys Queens Park Rangers. However, it is understood that Dutch side Feyenoord are now in pole position to land the forward as City weigh up whether to allow Guidetti to head out on loan. The 19-year-old signed a new three-year contract at City in the summer after being linked with a move to Feyenoord's Eredivisie rivals FC Twente. He made his debut for the club in the Carling Cup last season and also undertook a spell on loan in the Championship with Burnley. City boss Roberto Mancini is now set to make a decision on whether to allow Guidetti to build up his experience away from the Etihad Stadium or keep him in his first-team squad. Feyenoord have turned to Guidetti after missing out on a deal to bring Arsenal attacker Ryo Miyaichi back to De Kuip after the Japanese youngster was granted a work permit.
