Dutch outfit looking to bring in forward

Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has admitted the club are on the lookout for a striker ahead of the new Eredivise season, with John Guidetti expected to return to Manchester City. The 20-year-old Swede, on-loan from the Premier League champions, scored an impressive 20 goals for Feyenoord last season, including three hat-tricks. However, the Dutch side are expected to bring in winger Omar Elabdellaoui in Guidetti's place from the Ethiad giants in time for the new campaign. Meanwhile, 19-year-old Inter Milan star Luc Castaignos, who is a product of the Feyenoord youth academy, is unlikely to be loaned out to Ronald Koeman's side. Despite interest in the player from England, Germany and Spain, the Serie A club are only willing to send him out on-loan to another Italian club or sell him for a significant fee - thought to be in the region of £6million. Van Geel told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad: "Till September 1st, there is still a lot of possibility. "We are very happy that we have strengthened our squad before the first training session will take place, but we will continue our search. However, we want to sign a striker."
