Sky sources understand that Sheffield Wednesday are prepared to listen to offers for striker Stevie May.

The Scotland international could depart Hillsborough on either a permanent transfer or a loan deal before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.

May has not featured for Carlos Caravalhal's side so far this season and his future now appears to lie away from the club.

The 22-year-old started his career with St Johnstone and spent time at Alloa Athletic and Hamilton on loan, before joining the Owls in August 2014.

He scored seven goals in 42 appearances for the Sky Bet Championship side last term.
