Callum Harriott's dramatic stoppage-time winner helped Colchester United beat Altrincham 3-2 and progress in the FA Cup.

Altrincham took a shock third-minute lead through skipper Jake Moult, who sent a superb first-time chip over Colchester keeper Jamie Jones from 30 yards.

The Robins almost made it 2-0 in the eighth minute when Damian Reeves' 35-yard lob hit the roof of net, with Jones again stranded.

But Colchester equalised in the 14th minute through Harriott, who robbed Scott Leather of possession just outside the Altrincham area and exchanged passes with Marvin Sordell before slotting low past Tim Deasy.

Jones denied Jordan Sinnott before Altrincham regained their lead just 18 seconds after half-time when Michael Rankine slotted low past Jones in the area.

But it was 2-2 eight minutes later when Tom Lapslie nodded in Sordell's cross, after more good work by Harriott.
