John Spicer crashed home a 52nd-minute winner to earn Notts County a 1-0 Carling Cup win at Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night.
Spicer picked his spot, rifling the ball into the top corner at Home Park, out of home goalkeeper Romain Larrieu's reach. Larrieu was one of five players recalled to the first team by Argyle manager Peter Reid following Saturday's 1-0 League One win at Southampton.
