Burnley have sent two young players on loan to League One, ahead of the start of the new EFL season.
Nineteen-year-old Australian midfielder Aiden O'Neill has joined Fleetwood Town for the season, although the Clarets have the option to recall the player in January.
And central defender Alex Whitmore, who is 21, has moved to Bury on loan until January.
It will be a second spell in League One for O'Neill, who spent three months on loan at Oldham Athletic earlier this year and started 12 games as the Latics avoided relegation.
O'Neill told Fleetwood Town's website: "I'm really excited to come here and work under Uwe Rosler and his staff. I want to hit the ground running and do my best to help the team."
Fleetwood head coach Rosler added: "Aiden is a player who we have had on our radar for quite some time. He is 19 years old, but he is far more mature than his age."
Whitmore's spell with Bury will be his fourth loan in total and his second in the EFL. He started 35 games for Morecambe in League Two last season.
Bury manager Lee Clark said: "He is a real no-nonsense defender, who has good experience of first-team football and he will certainly bring that competition for places that I am striving for."
