Premier League: Clint Hill says QPR need a little break

Clint Hill believes that QPR just need a little slice of luck to spark a march to Premier League safety.

QPR's dismal away form continued against relegation rivals Burnley as they slipped to their 10th defeat in as many away games this season - a new Premier League record - to slip back into the bottom three.

All three goals came before half-time, with Charlie Austin's penalty cancelling out Scott Arfield's opener before Danny Ings grabbed the winner with a neat finish.

Hill told Sky Sports News HQ: "It’s probably just the little details, probably just a little bounce here and there in the box. We’ve hit the post again today. I don’t think it’s down to a lack of desire.

I just think it’s that little bit of quality we are lacking and maybe a little bit of luck

"I just think it’s that little bit of quality we are lacking and maybe a little bit of luck as well. But obviously the statistics say it is 10 defeats. That’s not great and you can’t rely on your home form.

"We want to rectify that as quick as we can. It’s not nice coming away from home and getting beat. It’s probably one of the hardest leagues in the world to get something away from home but maybe just a point here and there will take the pressure off us at home as well. Sooner rather than later would be great but at the moment we are licking our wounds again.

"It’s not over. I think there are three or four points separating about six or seven teams but obviously you need to nick points away from home. We’ve been strong at home and a little point here and there away from home takes you up another couple of places in the league.

More from Burnley V Qpr

"We’ll keep going right till the end. With so many teams involved there is still a lot to play for. We’re devastated with the defeat but there are plenty of games to try and rectify that.

"We’ve had the teams in and around us at home at the start of the season and now we have all the big boys coming to play us and we play away from home against the teams in and around us so hopefully we can still keep the points coming at home and try and drag a few teams into it away from home."
