Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman heaped praise on his side's never-say-die spirit after Sean Scannell's late winner against Barnsley.
Palace had racked up seven draws in a nine-match unbeaten run and it looked like the Eagles were heading to another.
But an error by Nathan Doyle allowed Scannell to score which leaves them six points off the play-offs and Freedman is not ruling out a charge for the top six.
"It may be one step too far but these players have a never-say-die attitude," he said.
"We're unbeaten in 10 now so we're not a team that lies down so anything is possible. It just shows what resilience we have got.
"The belief that we showed to keep on going when the performance wasn't at its best is why we are doing so well this year.

Freedman added: "I'm delighted that Sean Scannell ended up with the winner. He's a talented kid who has been working hard and he deserves to do well."
Barnsley had the better of the first half and saw Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni save well from Matt Done's shot and a header from Andy Gray.
The hosts improved after the break and should have gone ahead when Glenn Murray chose to pass and not volley Darren Ambrose's deep cross.
Scannell went close minutes later, while Craig Davies saw his dipping volley just miss the target at the other end.
The game was heading for a stalemate in the second minute of injury time when Barnsley defender Doyle misplaced his pass and played the ball out for a throw-in.
Devastated
Jonathan Parr took it quickly to Dikgacoi and the South African's cross picked out Scannell at the back post to head home the winner.
After suffering their seventh defeat in eight matches, Barnsley manager Keith Hill admitted conceding such a late goal had been hard to take.
"I'm devastated," he said. "I don't know what I have done to deserve this kind of misfortune.
"The performance was brave but to concede a goal so late is unbelievable.
"The players are hurting and I'm hurting because 0-0 would have been a fair result. We played good football up to the final third but I'm just numb.
"I can't ask any more from the players but we just have to accept that things aren't going our way at the moment."
