Southend have had their appeal against Mark Phillips' red card against Dagenham upheld.
The centre-back was dismissed for a reckless challenge on Rhys Murphy during the 1-0 defeat. Phillips failed to overturn his three-match suspension and will now sit out Saturday's trip to Newport as well as the home game against Mansfield the following Friday and the trip to Exeter on November 16.Southend fail in Phillips appeal
