Southend have signed defender Luke O'Neill following his release by Burnley.
The Sky Bet Championship Clarets announced O'Neill's departure on Tuesday, saying in a short statement that his deal had been cancelled by mutual consent.
The Shrimpers then announced the 24-year-old's arrival at Roots Hall on a two-year deal.
The former Mansfield player made one league appearance for Burnley in three years and had loan spells at York, Leyton Orient and Scunthorpe.
