Relegation rivals Blackpool and Oldham had to settle for a point after playing out a goalless draw at Bloomfield Road.
The hosts had just three shots on target but went close to taking an early lead when ex-Oldham forward Danny Philliskirk's flick was met by Jim McAlister only to be turned onto the post by the' keeper.
The Latics played on the counter and Jonathon Forte went close went he cut in and drove narrowly wide.
Daniel Lafferty could have sealed it for Oldham but Dean Lyness saved his strike and Curtis Main headed over late on.
Blackpool sit just four points above the drop zone but Oldham remain second-bottom, five from safety.
