Bradford 2-1 Blackpool: Omari Patrick secures Bantams win

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Bradford and Blackpool.

Omari Patrick marked his debut in style by scoring the winner as Bradford clinched a hard-fought 2-1 victory over newly-promoted Blackpool.

However, the match was partly overshadowed by a sickening injury to another debutant, left-back Adam Chicksen, who was knocked unconscious after a clash of heads with Blackpool defender Oliver Turton.

The match was held up for 12 minutes while the former Charlton player received on the field treatment before being carried off on a stretcher. He regained consciousness and was taken to hospital.

Bradford took the lead in the 41st minute when Nicky Law's free-kick on the left was flicked into the path of Nathaniel Knight-Percival by substitute Tim Dieng and the defender stabbed the ball into the net at the far post.

It was Knight-Percival's first goal for the club since he joined from Shrewsbury in the 2016 close season - his 49th appearance.

However, enterprising Blackpool were rewarded with an equaliser two minutes later when the Bradford defence failed to cut out a through pass from Mark Cullen for the unmarked Colin Daniel to score.

Bradford put the visitors' defence under pressure at the start of the second half and Patrick scored the winner in the 58th minute.
