Oldham v Derby preview

Oldham boss Frankie Bunn will have few selection decisions to make ahead of Tuesday night's EFL Cup clash with Sky Bet Championship club Derby.

Injuries will once again limit Bunn's options, with skipper Peter Clarke still a doubt after sitting out Saturday's 1-1 League Two draw at Forest Green with a knee problem after recovering from the illness which had prevented his participation in the season-opener against MK Dons.

Andy Taylor has also missed the opening two games, while strikers Ishmael Miller and Sam Surridge were unavailable at the weekend because of hamstring problems. Gevaro Nepomuceno and Chris O'Grady got the nod on Saturday and will hope to keep their places.

Derby boss Frank Lampard has indicated his intention to field a strong team as the Rams attempt to bounce back from Saturday's 4-1 home defeat to Leeds. Lampard will make changes, with new signings Duane Holmes and Scott Malone among those who could be included.

Tom Huddlestone and David Nugent are close to returning after injury, but the game will come too soon for them, while Curtis Davies faces another week to 10 days on the sidelines. George Thorne, Chris Martin and Jacob Butterfield were all due to play for the club's under-23s on Monday evening.
