Keeper rewarded for breaking into starting line-up

Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Gary Woods has been rewarded for breaking into the first team by signing a new two-year contract. Woods has made 10 appearances for Rovers this season after initially coming in to the team for the injured Neil Sullivan. However, the 20-year-old retained his place ahead of the fit-again Sullivan for the recent 1-0 defeat by Queens Park Rangers. He has now secured a long-term deal at the Keepmoat Stadium and will hope to remain Sean O'Driscoll's first choice for the rest of the season. Rovers currently sit 19th in the Championship table, nine points outside the relegation zone, and travel to Bristol City on Saturday.
