Cobblers appeal Osman red

Northampton have lodged an appeal with the Football Association over Abdul Osman's red card on Saturday.

The midfielder was dismissed by referee Iain Williamson on the stroke of half-time for a strong challenge on Port Vale midfielder Anthony Griffith. But after reviewing DVD footage, the club have decided to appeal and a decision should be known on Tuesday afternoon.
