Leyton Orient president Francesco Becchetti has strongly denied using violent conduct following an incident at the end of his side's victory over Portsmouth on Boxing Day.
The Italian was seen on camera aiming a kick at the club's assistant manager Andy Hessenthaler at the final whistle of his side's 3-2 League Two victory.
Hessenthaler gestured and appeared to say something to the seats behind the dug-outs and Becchetti followed him onto the Brisbane Road pitch before swinging his leg at him.
Becchetti was handed a misconduct charge by the Football Association and had until January 4 to respond to the charge.
In a statement Leyton Orient said: "In response to the misconduct charge brought by the Football Association, we can confirm that Mr Becchetti, Leyton Orient's President, has admitted improper conduct, but strongly denies violent conduct."
Becchetti has requested a personal hearing.
Hessenthaler was keen to play down the incident after the match, saying: "Well, it is Boxing Day, to be fair. It was nothing - it was fine. It was a little bit of banter; something that's been going on between us over the last few weeks.
"It probably looked worse than it was but it's all good. He's a passionate guy, you can see that."
Leyton Orient also issued a statement after the match, saying: "There was absolutely nothing untoward about the exchange and the two men get along very well professionally on the pitch and personally off the pitch.
"Mr Becchetti and Mr Hessenthaler were extremely pleased with the result of the game and were celebrating a very well deserved and exciting win."
