U's defender in game to remember

Image: Duberry: Netted one goal and two own goals

Oxford's Michael Duberry netted two own goals against Hereford before salvaging a late 2-2 draw at the other end.

The former Chelsea and Leeds defender put past U's keeper Ryan Clarke with an attempted first-half clearance, cancelling out Jon-Paul Pittman's rifled shot out of nothing from 25 yards. Duberry then sent a header from Joe Colbeck's 86th-minute cross into his own net, but he rescued a point - and saved some of his own blushes - by turning in a low right-wing cross from Tom Craddock. Bulls stopper Adam Bartlett twice denied U's top scorer James Constable, who had turned down a £250,000 move to Swindon in the week, and produced a superb double save early in the second half. Although his best stop came 10 minutes from time when he pushed away a fierce Simon Heslop drive that seemed to swerve at the last moment, helping to earn away-day specialists Hereford another good result on the road.
