Fairhurst earns Macc victory

Waide Fairhurst scored the only goal of the game as Macclesfield earned a 1-0 pre-season victory over Notts County.

The striker, who signed from Doncaster earlier in the summer, struck home from 12 yards shortly after the interval. Martin Allen's men were the dominant side throughout but were unable to make any inroads and had no response to Fairhurst's goal.
