Lower league ace interesting Dons boss

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has admitted an interest in Brechin's free-scoring striker Rory McAllister. The 21-year-old, who was released by the Dons as a teenager, has hit 65 goals in two-and-a-half years with the lower league side. Brown is full of admiration for his goalscoring record and is of the firm belief that McAllister could score goals at SPL level.

"Anyone who scores 23 goals in a season, no matter what division it's in, has to be worth a look at," said Brown. "I'm well up to date on how McAllister has been playing and everyone saw how good he was when St Johnstone drew at Brechin in the cup. "The game is full of players who made a late start and the most famous of those was Stevie Chalmers." The youngster believes that going full-time again would be his last chance at cracking professional football. "I think I'd enjoy being a full-timer again, although I realise this would be my last chance if I failed," admitted McAllister.
