Neymar and Luis Suarez were both hit by a bottle thrown by Valencia supporters after Barcelona secured a late 3-2 win at the Mestalla on Saturday.
As Lionel Messi celebrated his injury-time penalty winner in front of Valencia's Curva Nord stand where the ultras sit, his strike partners fell to the ground clutching their heads.
The emotion of the goal was clear to see for the Argentine, normally so collected in his celebrations, as he gestured wildly pumping his fists and screaming emphatically.
Various objects were thrown from the stands and it was clear to see the bottle strike Neymar, which did not go down well with Messi.
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique was angry on the touchline after he saw the incident, but following the game said he did not want to speak about it.
He said: "I'm not here to evaluate what can be done about bottle throwing. We celebrated a goal like you have to celebrate a goal against an opponent who made it so difficult for you."
Valencia boss Cesare Prandelli - who no doubt would have been reflecting on the loss - claimed he didn't see the fracas take place.
