Bournemouth and Brighton will meet for the second time in a week at the Vitality Stadium in their third round Carabao Cup tie on Tuesday night.

The south-coast rivals faced each other in the Premier League on Friday, with the Cherries coming from behind to win 2-1 and secure a first top-flight victory of the season.

Team news

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has confirmed he will again rotate his team. Winger Jordon Ibe came off the bench to help turnaround Friday night's Premier League match against the Seagulls and could have played his way into the starting XI, while defender Steve Cook may return from a knee problem.

Junior Stanislas has resumed training following a groin injury, but forward Callum Wilson (knee) remains a long-term absentee.

Colombia winger Izquierdo has made two substitute appearances since his big-money move from Club Brugge, while Italian Schelotto is yet to appear following a deadline-day switch from Sporting Lisbon.

Defenders Gaetan Bong and Liam Rosenior and winger Jamie Murphy are among the other fringe players pushing for a start, while youth team midfielders Jayson Molumby and Dessie Hutchinson are included in the squad. Midfielders Steve Sidwell (back) and Baram Kayal (broken leg), and forwards Sam Baldock (calf) and Izzy Brown (hamstring) remain unavailable.

Opta stats

This will be the first meeting between these two sides in the League Cup.

Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last six games against Brighton (W3 D3), winning both league games in the 2014-15 Championship campaign and their last meeting.

The Cherries have reached the fourth round in two of their last three campaigns, although they've lost their last two games against Premier League opposition.

Brighton are looking to reach the fourth round for just the second time since 1980, last doing so in 2014-15.
