Richard Garcia is hoping his recent return to form with Hull City will see him break in to the Australia squad for the 2010 World Cup.
Garcia, 28, has become a regular figure in the Tigers' starting Xl after spending most of last season on the bench.
He has started the last 10 games under Phil Brown in the Premier League, boosting his prospects of featuring in this summer's tournament.
Garcia is hoping his efforts have caught the eye of national coach Pim Verbeek and his aim now is to carry on playing week in, week out.

"I think the manager [Pim Verbeek] knows how I play and obviously playing every week helps," said Garcia.
"The manager has made that clear, he wants players who are playing week in, week out. I can't see it doing any harm.
"But it is in the back of my mind at the moment. I am just concentrating on the job I have got to do here."
Hull are second-bottom of the Premier League having picked up just four wins from 20 games so far this season.
Garcia insists his priority is to help steer the Tigers to safety which, itself, would boost his prospects of joining the Australia squad in South Africa.
