Portugal finally made the game safe in the closing seconds when Liedson deflected Joao Moutinho's shot into the net.
The win was Portugal's sixth on the trot and keeps them on track ahead of their World Cup meetings with Brazil, Ivory Coast and North Korea in Group G this summer.
