Pressure mounts on manager of the Bundesliga's bottom club
Freiburg chairman Fritz Keller has refused to discuss a job guarantee for manager Marcus Sorg.
Ahead of Friday's home game against Bayer Leverkusen, the club sit in the Bundesliga relegation zone having taken just seven points from 10 matches.
Sorg has come under pressure as a consequence of the poor results, which have included only two league wins and seven defeats.
And Keller has declined the opportunity to give the manager, who succeeded Robin Dutt in July after being promoted from the reserve team, a vote of confidence.
The Freiburg chairman is quoted as saying by spox.com: "It's way too early for those things. I am not talking about this, this is just ridiculous.
"The work being done is too good, although the results are not as we had expected. We are lacking five points, so to say.
"If we had these five more points, everyone would be cheering. And we were definitely able to pick up these points this season."
