Oscar Miguez
Miguez is an all-time hero for supporters of the Uruguay national side after he appeared at two World Cups, winning the competition once.
The striker made his World Cup debut at the 1950 tournament hosted by Brazil, and he began in some style.
In Uruguay's opening game versus Bolivia, Miguez opened the scoring before adding a second and then completing his hat-trick in an 8-0 win.
Miguez then fired home another two goals to help inspire his nation's comeback against Sweden, which saw them triumph 3-2.
Uruguay then faced a crunch match with South American rivals Brazil, who knew just a draw would earn them the world title.
But, despite the Brazilians taking the lead, Uruguay turned the game on its head as they and Miguez were glorious in Rio de Janeiro.
Miguez was again called upon four years later when the World Cup was staged in Switzerland.
Uruguay began the defence of their trophy against the Czechs and Miguez opened the scoring as they recorded a 2-0 success.
The South American giants then tackled Scotland and walloped their opponents 7-0, with Miguez grabbing two goals.
Miguez also featured in the 4-2 scalp of England but an injury ruled him out of the semi-final meeting with Hungary, which Uruguay lost in extra-time.
