Stockport County have clinched the signing of Northern Ireland international Peter Thompson.
The striker has agreed a three-year contract at Edgeley Park and joins the League One club from Linfield.
Reports have put the fee in the region of £100,000 and he will beef up a Stockport attack which was recently depleted by Liam Dickinson's move to Derby County.
Thompson had been wanted by several clubs, with Championship side Norwich City having an offer turned down by Linfield.
Kilmarnock were also unable to agree on a fee with Linfield, and Thompson is expected to make his Stockport debut in next week's friendly with Liverpool.
