Rotherham skipper Ian Sharps struck in the fourth minute of injury time to secure a 1-1 draw against Dagenham.
With time almost up the hosts won a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area, Reuben Reid's shot found a way through the Dagenham wall and Sharps scrambled the ball home.
The best chances in the first half went Rotherham's way with Daggers goalkeeper Tony Roberts making good saves to deny Mark Hudson and Drewe Broughton, while Reid sent a lob wide when clean through.
But three minutes after the break Dagenham took the lead when Solomon Taiwo swung in a cross from the right and Matt Ritchie nodded in at the far post.
