Excellent win for strugglers over promotion chasers

Joe Devera's first goal for Barnet capped a first home win in more than four months for the Bees against promotion-chasing Bradford. The full-back's mazy dribble and shot after 62 minutes put the gloss on Ian Hendon's first win since taking charge at Underhill early last month. A vibrant start saw Paul Furlong's header cleared off the line by Zesh Rehman, while Gary Breen provided similar heroics at the other end to deny Peter Thorne. Breen then turned provider after 24 minutes as the hosts went ahead, releasing Albert Adomah who slid the ball home through a crowd of bodies. Barnet doubled their lead four minutes before half-time, John O'Flynn heading home from Matt Lockwood's free-kick. Bradford seized a lifeline back into the game 10 minutes after the break when Michael Boulding forced the ball home from a yard out, but the relief lasted two minutes as Adomah raced to the by-line and although Furlong scuffed the first effort Yannick Bolasie followed up to score, before Devera sealed the points.
